Glenboig Dog Park FAQs
Where is Glenboig Dog Park?
Just on the outskirts of Ramoan, Glenboig and a 3 minute drive from Central Coatbridge.
We are located on Muirdyke Road just off Gartliston Road, the main road linking Glenboig and Coatbridge.
Access from Glenboig
Go under the railway bridge through Ramoan onto Gartliston Road towards Coatbridge – as you clear the houses and enter the green belt take the first turning on your left, Muirdyke Road.
Access from Coatbridge
From Red Bridge area travel towards Glenboig on Coltswood Road, at the roundabout this road becomes Gartliston Road. Pass the green belt and take the last/only turning on the right before Ramoan/Glenboig. This is Muirdyke Road.
You will see the site on your left. Please use the second set of gates – and please take care as we share the site with a busy working quarry and stables.

How big is the field?
An equilateral triangle shape, 70mx70mx70m, approximately 2200 m2.
Is there space to park?
Yes. There are 2 options.
Examples: If you have one dog, park in the bays provided on the left in front of the Café (coming soon. Keep your dog in the car and go and open the gate. Come back for your dog, then close the gate behind you, while your dog is still on the leash.
Or if you have a few dogs, park in the car park as above, go over and open the gate and reverse in and close the gate.

DO NOT PARK JUST OUTSIDE THE GATE. WE SHARE THE SITE ENTRANCE WITH A BUSY WORKING QUARRY AND STABLES – you must keep the entrance way clear.
Please ensure both gates are secure before you release the dogs.
Please take extra care exiting the site.
Will there be any other dogs in the field?
Your booking is for your exclusive use of the field, however you are welcome to ask one or two of your friends and their dogs along. If you are planning a larger event, please contact us in advance and we will help. We may book a free slot to give you more time or provide staff to help with parking.
We ask that everyone sticks to their session booking times and leaves the field promptly, ideally just before their session has ended, returns their dogs to their car as soon as possible.
We use the field daily as Professional Dog Walkers and on some occasions we can introduce your dog to some suitable doggy pals if you wish. Please message us to discuss.

Is there shelter in the field?
In late March 2026 we took over this site. Currently there is a small shed in the field. Like our other park, we are planning to build a good shelter asap, but currently there is just a shed.
We are currently upgrading the fencing, fence screens and other facilities.
We are also planning to build a dog wash station in the enclosed car park.
How do i book and pay?
Bookings can only be made in advance and online at www.GlenboigDogPark.com and you can pay by all major credit and debit cards.

You will be sent a confirmation email which will include directions and the code for the gate and more.
How far in advance can I book/how late can I book?

Please go to the booking page and select date and time, if it's visible, it's available.
How do I open the lock?
We will be using 4-digit combination padlock on the gate.
When you book you will be emailed the combination.
Turn the dials to the code supplied to unlock the bolt, pull the black knob and this will release the silver bolt.
This code will be changed regularly so please have your email to hand when you arrive at the field.
Is there a maximum number of dogs I can bring?
The field is ideal for 6 to 8 dogs and their humans.
We welcome Professional Dog Walkers and we have a THREE OTHER secure areas for you to use at no extra cost. Please contact is for more information. Please ensure you are insured for the correct amount of dogs and are able to handle them.

What are your opening hours?
We are planning to open on Saturday 4th April 2026.
Our summer schedule is:
First Booking is 6:15 AM
Last Booking 7:00 PM
We will review the times for other seasons. This is subject to change.

Lights
We currently do not have any lights on site. We do have power on site and will add them asap. We do have lights at our other park just down the road – book at www.CoatbridgeDogPark.com
My bitch is in season can i still bring her?
Yes - for private bookings and as long as she is not in the field with unneutered males.
But no - not on open days where there may be unneutered males.

Do you have toilet facilities?
​There are no toilet facilities at the field at present.
