Where is Coatbridge Dog Park?
Location
Just a 3 minute drive from both Glenboig and Central Coatbridge.
We are located on the main roads linking Glenboig and Coatbridge. Just at the roundabout opposite the new estate (ML5 2FE), where Gartliston Road becomes Coltswood Road.
Access from Glenboig
Travel down Gartliston Road towards Coatbridge – as you clear the green belt you will see the new houses on the right hand side. This road becomes Coltswood Road at the roundabout. We are located at the first exit at the roundabout – it’s a concealed entrance, sharp left.
Access from Coatbridge
From Red Bridge area travel towards Glenboig on Coltswood Road. Pass the Green Hill Industrial Estate on the Right and approach the roundabout.
We are located at the third exit at the roundabout.

How big is the field?
Approximately 60m x 40m x 2 as we now have two fields side by side, you can use either field, it is completely your choice, nobody else can book the same time slot as you. It is for your sole user. If you arrive and find others using it please call us so that we can sort the situation out. Please see note below regarding lights in the fields.

Is there space to park?
Yes. There are 2 options.
Examples: If you have one dog, park in the bays provided, secure your dog and used the small gate to gain access to the secure field.
Or if you have a few dogs, open the larger vehicle gate and reverse in and close the gate.
Please ensure both gates are secure before you release the dogs.
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND TURNING IN THE CARPARK AND DRIVING OUT - NOT REVERSING as you will be going directly onto a busy roundabout.
Please take extra care exiting the site.
Will there be any other dogs in the field?
Your booking is for your exclusive use of the field, however you are welcome to ask one or two of your friends and their dogs along. If you are planning a larger event, please contact us in advance and we will help. We may book a free slot to give you more time or provide staff to help with parking.
We ask that everyone sticks to their session booking times and leaves the field promptly, ideally just before their session has ended, returns their dogs to their car as soon as possible.
We use the field daily as Professional Dog Walkers and on some occasions we can introduce your dog to some suitable doggy pals if you wish.

Is there shelter in the field?
Yes in field 1 there will be a covered deck and seating area with spectacular views. In Field 2 there is an enclosed shelter too.
There is also natural tree cover down one full side of the field and we will add other structures to stop our wonderful changeable weather from spoiling your fun.
We also have a brilliant Dog Wash Station inside the enclosed car park with a lights, a powered hose, shampoo and towels. This is free to use with your booking.
How do i book and pay?
Bookings can only be made in advance and online at www.CoatbridgeDogPark.com and you can pay by all major credit and debit cards.

You will be sent a confirmation email which will include directions and the code for the gate and more.
How far in advance can I book/how late can I book?
Please go to the booking page and select date and time, if it's visible, it's available.

How do I open the lock?
We use a Combi-Bolt 4 slide locks on the small gate. Once in you can open the larger vehicle gate from the inside.
When you book you will be emailed the combination.
Turn the dials to the code supplied to unlock the bolt.
This code will be changed regularly so please have your email to hand when you arrive at the field.
Is there a maximum number of dogs I can bring?
Each field is ideal for 6 to 8 dogs and their humans.
If you are a professional dog walker, please ensure you are insured for the correct amount of dogs and are able to handle them.
What are your opening hours?
We are opened on 1st July 2021.
Our summer schedule is:
First Booking is 5:30 AM
Last Booking 10:00PM
We will review the times for other seasons.
Lights
We do have lights in place in Field One only.
We have battery powered flood lights on a post in the centre of Field 1 that need to be turned on manually.
Press the green button on the back 3 times on - and 3 times off before you leave please.
We also have solar lights at all the entrances and exits and dotted around Field 1 only.
If you would like any more information on using the lights then please get in touch.
Please do not use Field 2 when its too dark as it is not lit - this is for your and your dogs own safety.
My bitch is in season can i still bring her?
Yes - for private bookings and as long as she is not in the field with unneutered males.
But no - not on open days where there may be unneutered males.
Do you have toilet facilities?
​There are no toilet facilities in the field at present.
